Dominique Dawes had a simple dream that turned into a powerful mission: to help kids grow up happy, active, and strong through gymnastics and ninja programs that build not just muscles, but confidence, focus, and joy.
You probably know her as “Awesome Dawesome”, a member of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic “Magnificent Seven,” gold medalist, and one of only four U.S. women ever to compete in three Olympic Games. Pretty awesome indeed.
In July 2020, Dominique opened her first Dominique Dawes Gymnastics Academy, and the momentum hasn’t slowed since. A second and third location followed in 2023 and 2024, laying the foundation for what’s now a nationwide movement. This past October, the DD Gymnastics & Ninja Academy celebrated its fourth grand opening, with two more gyms currently under construction and plans for 40+ more across the country in the next few years.
