2025 NWCA Convention: A Celebration of Wrestling, Growth, and Community
The 2025 NWCA National Convention, held August 1 to 3 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, brought together wrestling coaches and industry leaders for a weekend focused on education, community building, and the continued growth of the sport.
As a presenting sponsor, Resilite was proud to be on the ground with the coaching community. Our major takeaway? The future of wrestling is collaborative, inclusive, and full of momentum.
Wrestling Community First
The convention reminded us that wrestling is more than a sport— it’s a community. Coaches connected not only over techniques and training but over shared values and common goals. Catching up over meals, hallway chats between sessions, and social events —these are what keep the wrestling world moving forward together.
Attendees at the 2025 NWCA Convention received our custom Wake & Wrestle coffee and a 16 oz. camp mug.
At our booth, we had the chance to reconnect with long-time coaches, meet new program leaders, and share a cup of coffee or two. Our custom Resilite camp mugs were a small way to say thank you — and a reminder that conversations (and conventions) are always better caffeinated.
Greg Warren Brings Wrestling Humor to Life
The Resilite team with comedian, Greg Warren, at the 2025 NWCA Convention at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa
One of the weekend’s highlights was a performance from Greg Warren, a former Division I wrestler turned stand-up comedian. His brought a whole lot of laughter to lunch, blending relatable stories with insider wrestling humor that only a fellow wrestler could deliver.
The Rise of Women’s Wrestling
This season marks a landmark moment: the launch of the first NCAA-sanctioned women’s wrestling championship. At the convention, women’s wrestling took center stage in multiple panels and sessions, including “It’s a Wo(man)’s World” and the Girls Wrestling Panel.
Coaches shared ideas on how to build and support women’s programs, from youth pipelines to college expansion, and celebrated record-breaking participation numbers at events like the Fargo Junior Nationals.
Resilite’s Role: Built by the Wrestling Community, for the Wrestling Community
We’ve been part of the wrestling community since 1959, and we’ve grown alongside the sport — through every rule change, every championship, and every new program built from the ground up.
This year’s NWCA Convention wasn’t just a chance to talk about wall padding or wrestling mats — it was a chance to connect with coaches who share the same passion for the sport that’s shaped our company for over six decades.
As more schools and clubs launch women’s and youth wrestling programs, we’re hearing what matters most:
- Training spaces that are safe and welcoming
- Wrestling mats that hold up to daily use—practice and competition
- Wall padding that adapts to different room sizes and program needs
- Crash mats that help beginners gain confidence
We’re proud to support those goals not just with equipment, but with a shared commitment to the sport’s growth. At Resilite, we don’t just supply wrestling gear — we live wrestling.
Final Thoughts
The 2025 NWCA Convention was a celebration of everything wrestling represents: growth, grit, and deep-rooted connection. From the rise of women’s wrestling to the laughs shared with Greg Warren, this year’s convention showcased a sport that’s evolving, welcoming, and more unified than ever.
As always, Resilite is proud to stand alongside the coaches, athletes, and programs who continue to build the future of wrestling — on and off the mat.
