It all starts with the FOAM CORE. A wrestling mat must have excellent shock absorption, tear resistance, and compression qualities. For this reason, Resilite relies on PVC rubber nitrile foam supplied by Armacell, LLC Ensolite®, the largest manufacturer of foam designed specifically for impact protection.

These quality, closed-cell foam cores are available in 1" and 1.25" thicknesses and are manufactured in continuous rolls to minimize cross seam. However, all wrestling mats will have a minimal number of seams. All Resilite foams cores meet or exceed ASTM specifications for wrestling mat thicknessess and have been tested in accordance to ASTM -F355 and ASTM 1292 for Shock-absorbing properties.
